Palm Trees In The Snow: Netflix Movie Review
OK, damn. I just watched this movie and I have to admit, I'm head over heels.
I watch a lot of Netflix, and I admit, most of the time I'm looking for something fluffy. Friday night, though, I was looking for something with a little more depth-- and since I'm single as a pringle-- I wanted to see some ROMANCE, BABY.
Well, romance I got in spades. Palm Trees in the Snow (Palmeras en la Nieve, in its native tongue) was one of the best films I've seen in a long time.
It starts off with a really cryptic scene between a Spanish man (Mario Casas, OMG he's so incredibly handsome) saying goodbye to his Guinean lover (Berta Vazquez) in the sixties during a tumultuous political environment. It kind of bummed me out to be honest-- in my head I was like 'okay, this isn't going to end well.'
SPOILERS BELOW-- don't keep going unless you don't mind. :)
And honestly, after a while of watching Killian's story-- basically becoming a man amongst the natives of the plantation, trying to decide what kind of person he's going to be-- it kind of seems like a romance gone south would be the least of his problems. He has to decide whether or not he's going to be cruel, but a good businessman, or kind and compassionate to the feelings of those he's working amongst.
He also deals with someone planting a poisonous snake in his room, high tensions between the Spaniards and the Guineans, and the rough reality of working from dusk till dawn.
But we only find out about this after his niece, Clarence, in the present day, finds a piece of a letter in his things letting someone know he's going to send money to them soon. She knows she can't just ignore it, especially with her Uncle Killian having one foot in the grave, so she goes to New Guinea to figure out if there's someone who needs to be taken care of after Killian passes away.
I won't totally spoil the end for you, but I will say that she-- and we-- learn all about Killian's story, which is both rough and beautiful. Compared to his racist brother, Killian is obviously more compassionate and understanding, and wants to fit in with the natives since he considers the island to be his home. His brother, Jacobo, only wants money and women.
Early on in the movie, we see Killian get lost in the forest and end up stumbling onto a cliffside, where a woman is crying and singing. This is Bisila-- and the first hint of romance we see between the two, but the connection between them that we see in the scene doesn't last long since Bisila leaves in fear. Their relationship doesn't even happen until Killian's place on the island is fully established in the film, but eventually we see him falling for the young nurse....who's already married.
Their romance is beautiful, but Killian constantly has to leave to tend to his sick sister halfway across the world, not to mention his and Bisila's relationship is forbidden. They're constantly sneaking around, but towards the end of the movie there's a sense of understanding on the island that Bisila and Killian are together and everyone knows how right it is, which was really cool to watch.
Something incredibly terrible happens to Bisila while Killian is away, and I thought the director handled it incredibly well-- I was afraid there was going to be some terrible twist or scandal connected to it, but I was so happy when everyone-- mainly just Killian-- found out what happened and wanted to help Bisila move past it. I could be mistaken, but in the scene where Killian tells Bisila he's sorry for what his brother has done, it sounded like he was telling her this in her native language (if not, someone correct me) but I thought that was so beautiful and touching.
The last thing I want to say is about Jacobo-- I couldn't figure him out. He was a playboy, interested in money, representing the worst of the Spanish colonizers, and I thought his relationship with Julia was there to show us that Julia's unrequited love would never be matched by someone so intent on destroying himself...but I just don't know. There were some moments in the movie where I thought maybe the point was that Julia could have saved him if Jacobo would have wised up and seen how great she was...or maybe Jacobo is honestly just a piece of shit and that's that. Tell me what you think in the comments.
I won't say any more about this movie...there's just SO MUCH TO SAY. Go and watch it for yourself and tell me what you think-- I, personally, will be watching this again someday.

Jacobo was just no good, plain and simple. I felt bad for Clarence that he was her Dad.
ReplyDeleteI was left with questions like,
Why didn't Killian send for Basile?
Whose baby was her second child?
Did Julia and Jacobody ever hAve anything?
I lived the movie though!
Yeah, like I was confused in the beginning; did Julia marry Jacobo or Killian? Why would she have married Jacobo, but Clarence keeps calling her by her first name? Is Julia Daniela's mother? I'm so confused, they really didn't explain the connections well.
Deletebisila was married to Masi and her first son was of Masi , Masi wants to kill jacobo after he found out jacobo rape her but they ended killing the 2 Americans that were hang in the tree with stones . julia was a childhood friend of killian and Jacobo, and she was in love of jacobo but he was not interested in her until she meet the doctor Emanuel , julia had 2 sons with Emanuel. basila cant go to spain with killian because she was a married woman already with a child of Mosi.after gibea be come a free country basila son fernando cant travel because he is a guinea citizen so that is why they stay in guinea, she began the affair with Killian already married and with a son. her second son was the product of the rape and she told Killian that she couldn't had more children . Iniko the guy that had sex with Clarence is the son of Basila and Mosi . to understand why Julia was in the house and whom daniela is them you had to read the novel.
DeleteAdd to above - three men raped Bisilia - two of them were killed by Masi, when Masi tried to kill the third, who is Jacobo, the murder attempt was unsuccessful. The second child - product of rape was most likely given the timeframe. Julia is a close family friend, so her showing up in their snow chalet house to help take care of things when Jacobo dies and Kilian is so sick was not too out of line.
DeleteOkay I guess my question is the girl that went back to talk to the family that was being taken care of by Kilian slept with the oldest son..... are they related or not?
DeleteI think they're not related. Iniko's little brother,Fernando could be any of the three guys that raped her that night. There are chances that Jacobi is his father but I guess we will never know. Regardless it was a great watch!
DeleteJulia did not marry Jacobo. She wanted him for so long and got tired and married someone else. The movie had a lot of passion and unanswered questions. Bisila had two sons. One was from her marriage with Moco? and the other from Killian or the men that raped her. I chose to think it was Kilian's child.
ReplyDeleteClarence is Killian's niece. Jacobo died I guess from syphillis and he was close with them. The story is about a love that is so passionate that is not able to continue physically because of the mixture of races is forbidden. That is what I got out of it....forbidden love

DeleteWas bisila son by Killian because while he was away for his sister beening ill she was marking the calendar as if she was expecting
DeleteYes, Bisila was already pregnant by Killian.
DeleteI think that Bisilia's second son was fathered by one of the men who raped her. Because..kilian told Bisilia when they were reunited that 'our other children won't be able to tell the difference.'
DeleteWhat a beautiful love story. Well done to the director and entire cast! Fell in love with Mario and Berta, Clarence, Iniko, Julia and everyone really...A brave genuine heartfelt film that has you gripped from the start to the end...love the settings the history of colonialism oh my heart aches so cruel so sad but I saw that the power of the human heart on both sides of the Natives and Spanish there were true love and friendship between Simom and Killian, his dad Anton and Basila's father and Julia and Manuel they treated people with love and care..though they could have stood up.to the beatings of the workers, that saddened me. But we know this happened in reality. A true passionate tale...I love it and will get the novel.
DeleteI think the child was is brother, because Basila couldn't have anymore kids,if the child was Jacoba he would have got some inheritance and would have made the child Killian daughter half siblings. I feel when Brasla recieved the letter Killian had past and in the spiritual sense she when to meet Killian. As Killian, Jacoba father said, to Killian before his pass away.jusy my thought..I received the book to fill on pieces
DeleteJacobo is clarencw father . Its his funeral at the beginning of the movie. Basilis first son is from her dead husband. Her second son is from one of the rapist. It cannot be Kilians because he was gone when she got raped. Julia married the doctor not jacobo.
ReplyDeleteI think I can explain a little bit as I just watched and then re watched parts of the movie because I too needed clarification! Julia is married to Manual. She is long childhood friends with Killian and continues to be a great friend to him even into his last days. If you re watch the movie - the scene between older Julia and Clarence, you will see that Julia says that Manual (her husband ) sent money to Guinea "this whole time." It doesn't really explain why her husband Manual would be sending money to Simon. But I think it was from Jacobo. (My guess)
ReplyDeleteBut based on the conversation between older Julia and Clarence we can infer that Julia was not married to Jacobo.
I just finished watching this intriguing movie, but you're right, there are many questions in the end. Another reviewer says that Clarence is Jacobo and Julia's daughter! Perhaps he's mistaken. Why would Jacobo be sending money to Simon? Isn't Killian sending money to Bisilia? And, yes, why couldn't he have sent for her after all these years...I also wondered whose child Bisilia's second son belonged to, but it does make sense that it was one of her rapists. Which is really sad because it would have been so awesome if Killian and Bisilia could have had a child. No one has mentioned the irony of Clarence's fling with her almost cousin--Bisilia's first son! Weird! And are we to understand that Bisilia drowns herself in the ocean after learning of Killian's death? There's just so much going on in this movie...
ReplyDeleteBasilla tells Clarence they were able to survive because Killian sent money. Went Basilla first got together she referred to a poem where ones walks into the sea. When she received the letter that Killian had passed she walked into the sea. Her second son was from one of the rapist, it could possibly be Jacobo. When Killian apologized to Basilla it was in her native tongue
ReplyDeleteI loved the movie and waiting for the English version of the book
I've read a lot of reviews of this movie because some of my questions went unanswered. The one thing I noticed is that many incorrectly called Bisilia's first son Clarence's cousin. They don't share a blood line. She is possibly cousins with Bisilia's second son because Bisilia was raped by three men so any one of them could be the father. My question is about the ending. Is it safe to assume that Killian died and that Bisilia received word and walked into the ocean to her death? I ask because, for me, it wasn't clear. Also, I was under the impression that the two women left behind in the ski chalet was Killian's mother and wife. Not mother and sister. That detail completely changed how I saw his character. Can anyone confirm?
ReplyDeleteCatalina was the big sister. If you go back and watch the end of the movie, you will see the family tree. Her name is beside Kilian and Jacobo. She was born in 1928, she was their big sister.
DeleteClarence might have been the sister of Bisila's second son (not cousin) bc Jacobo was her father & he was one of the 3 men who raped Basila.
DeleteAny one of the 3 rapists could have been the Father, although it shows Jacobo puking, Killian accuses him of rape when he's beating him up.
DeleteSomeone said it couldn't be Killian's child because he wasn't there. I think he was back from taking care of his sister when she was raped. As it's told in flashbacks, the timeline is a bit confusing. When she tells Killian she can't have more children, Killian says 2 is enough. When he returns and she has a baby, he's acting as if it is his child. Jacobo, whose daughter goes looking for answers after his death, does so because she finds his diary. This raises many questions. Was Jacobo sending money to Bisila because Killian was no longer able to due to Alzhiemers? Since Killian's daughter is there we must assume Killian got married or was with her mother, and that would be why he didn't send for them later. Ultimately, it's a love story based on the fact though they didn't live together long, it was enough for a lifetime, as Bisilia states at the end.
She was singing a song about streams that meet and intertwine, and that everything returns to the ocean, and destiny, crying because she doesn't have a choice, the 1st time he sees her.
This song is a metaphor for how their lives were destined to intertwine and how she returns to the ocean to die.
Her sons, by her husband and Killian/ rapists, go to Spain at the end, which further lends itself to the fact the 2nd son is Killian's and he's going to meet his half sister, who is smiling at him as if she's meeting her half brother for the first time when he gets out of the car in Spain.
Clarence was maybe the half sister of Bisilia's second son. Not sure which impregnated her due to rape.
DeleteHi guys, I have been trying to watch this all day as I am so into it but I keep stopping to find answers to my questions which is how i found here. I am soo confused but i like it. Julia is like a friend of the family who pined for Jacobo? so in present time she explained to clarence (guys name lol) the life the had on the old island.
ReplyDeleteno clarence is the one that go to the ginuea and is basila the one that talks to her about what happened and how clarence uncle and basila fall in love and the true about basilia son's
DeleteJust watched this movie and was captivated by it. Went back and watched the beginning again just to get a better perspective and then read these comments to see if my lingering questions could be answered.
ReplyDeleteI wondered who Bisilia's second son's father was, too. Apparently he could have been any one of the 3 rapists, but definitely not Killian's. And why was Julia there in the present at the stone house? Was Jacobo her second husband, or did she just remain close to the family? Just still some unanswered questions; but the movie was very good, I thought!
he movies was beautiful. I loved it but I wish the director or producer would clarify the plot completely. Yes, Bisila did drown in the ocean after receiving news of Killian's death. No, Killian wasn't Fernando's-Bisila's second baby-father, since they hadn't made love before he left and after he came back she went straight into the year hide away for mourning. My problem with the movie is where it syas,"Fernando Poo, 1970" in the beginning when it was obviously 1950(a source I found says 1954).
ReplyDeleteBut by the end of this movie I can honestly say I cried. And another thing on why he didn't send for Bisila, is maybe by the time the travling in Guinea become more lax, he already had another wife and child, and perhaps that's why he didn't send for them, but rather sent money. I'd also like to point out another problem with the whole time period and it ending in 2003, Fernando was born around 1959(since Killian says its been 5 years right when he sees Bisila again after her second child) soooo...that would place him around 4 years in 2003 right? But he's obviously in his 20's and Iniko, his brother, is 20-30 years as well. And Killians daughter at the beginning is obviouly 20, even accounting for Killian waiting to remarry and have another child. Aaaand as dangerous as it was, I was surprised Killin even left Bioko. Besis all this...I loved it. I honestly touched me. Their love really blossomed at the end, especially watching Killian stand up for her and love her unconditionally. The scene with them trying to leave Bioko together made me cry...<3
I meant place him around 44 years.
DeleteIt said it was the 70's when Killian returned...that's why things had changed so much politically. If he wasn't Killians son, then why did it end with the boys in Spain? It really appeared to me Killian's daughter was standing outside with Clarence waiting to meet her long lost half brother, and if not, it's kind of a strange scene! It must serve some purpose. I was looking for a synopsis, there isn't one except for a pathetic paragraph, so after reading the comments I'm just totally confused as lot of people made completely different assumptions and am just going to watch it again! Even though I hated Jacobo for his racism, the snake incident, being a rapist and the way he treated women. He just makes Killian look that much better.
Deletemmm... I've just watched this film .Surprised to see something as good on Netflix tbh.I too struggled with keeping the storyline straight so won't attempt adding my untangled version! Has anyone actually read the book? I haven't. It's rare to see a good rendition in film of a piece of writing. This film stands by itself. It's no doubt an edited version (despite its 3hrs length!).An excellent one but now I have to find the story written down and read!
DeleteThe opening scene is marked "Fernando Poo 1970." This year is correct. It is two years after independence. All white people had to leave the country.
DeleteYou are wrong when you say that the year should be 1950.
Julian and Jacobo did not come to Spanish Guinea until 1954. They had left Spain in 1953.
The key is the family tree towards the end of the film. If you pause on the text you will see that Julia married Jacobo (Julia's second marriage, the first being the doctor) and Clarence is their daughter.
ReplyDeleteI thought Clarence called her Julia? At the end it appears Killian's daughter is outside waiting to meet her half brother in Spain. I don't know what purpose that scene served if not.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThat's not true - Julia is nowhere on the family tree. Jacobo and Carmen got married and had Carmen. Julia is a close family friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the older Bascila in the end? THe scene was her going into the ocean. Did he drown herself?
ReplyDeleteCan someone also explain to me why Killian and Bascilia did not stay together. How did Killian end up back in Spain???
ReplyDeleteKillian had to leave Bisila because Guinea got its first African president and he made it law that all Spaniards had to leave and were never allowed to come back. Bisila was able to go with killian back to spain because she was afro-hispanic but her kids where born in Guinea so they couldnt leave. So she stayed with her kids.
DeleteRight, but I don't understand why he never went back for her or had her travel to him after some time passed...it is not like the travel restrictions they showed at the end of the movie stayed that way forever. I liked the movie with the exception of the ending. In addition to not knowing why they never got back together, it ended abruptly when the 2 sons of Basilia arrive at the stone house. Did they meet Killian? I
DeleteGreat movie, a bit confused if basilia died in the end. But I watch it couple of times over.
ReplyDeleteOkay so I just watched the movie for the 2nd time. I think Bisila's 2nd son is the child of Killian. Not the one of the 3 rapist. Because Killian was the last person she had intercourse with before she went to stay at another village for a year. He waited for her and when she came back she had the child. He told her it could be their secret. The child has to be his because everyone knew she got raped and it wasnt a secret at all. Killian was sending money to help her raise their son because he couldnt be there.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing movie! I could totally relate because I’m West African with similar cultures to the Guineans.
ReplyDeleteHoping to help clarify some of the questions above:
I looked at the family tree at the beginning of the movie, Clarence is Jacobo’s daughter by the woman (Carmen Diaz) he married in Spain after Kilian effectively kicked him off the Guinean island.
Daniela is Kilian’s daughter by the wife (Pilar Castain) he married after he was eventually forced to leave Guinea after the tiny country gained its independence from Spain. He could not take Bisila or the children to Spain as they were Guineans and were not allowed to leave Guinea. He and Basili promised to be faithful to each other (in their hearts at least - knowing that they would not be able to stay together for long) at the private marriage they held on the beach with the island guardian rock as witness.
Iniko is Bisila’s first child by her husband Mosi. Her second son Fernando Laha is a product of the rape and could possibly have been Jacobo’s child. When Kilian meets him after Basili returns from her one year of mourning, he immediately understands how the child was conceived and says to her, “It will be our secret”.
Kilian was not on the island when she was raped. Kilian travelled to Spain long before the rape - remember Basili wept every time she marked the days off the calendar waiting for his return. He returned from caring for his sister to find Basili battered and bruised with a dislocated shoulder. She claimed she’d been hit by a truck.
Her brother Simòn, who found her after the rape, knew the truth and at some point told their father Osë.
Iniko is in no way related to Clarence as he is Mosi’s son and she is Jacobo’s daughter. Also, Iniko’s mother is Basili and Clarence’s mother is Carmen. No blood-link between them at all.
Over the years, Kilian continued to send money to Basili through Manuel (Julia’s doctor husband). The money was not from Jacobo. The diary that Clarence found in the study - which prompted her journey to Bioko - is Kilian’s, not Jacobo’s: Daniela (Kilian’s daughter) says, “It’s my father’s old diary”
At the end of the movie, after Basili received a letter from Clarence which made her cry, possibly informing of Kilian’s death from Alzheimer’s, she walked into the ocean and never returns. We see her footprints going into ocean but none returning.
What a strong connection she and Kilian shared.
Great movie, but the only thing that's bothering me is the ages of Basili's two sons. The youngest must be about 40-45 (and he's clearly not as he's studying in Madrid) whereas his brother would have to be closer to 50, since he was born in the mid 50's!

ReplyDeleteHello. This is a GREAT movie. Utv was a bit difficult to follow the timeline, but then itb.c alm made sense. I watched this movie and read all the comments. Afterwards, I watched the movie again and this is what I noted.
ReplyDeleteJulia met the family when she was very young. Her parents and Killian's parents were close. Although Julia was madly in love with him she NEVER married Jacobo. She was a lifelong friend. Jacobo's wife's name was also noted on the family tree and it was NOT Julia.
Killian is NOT Fernando's (Bisila's 2nd son) Father. Bisila confirms it because when the sons asked if Killian was the father, she clearly said he was not. Also, in the movie, when she returned after being gone that year, Killian clearly said to Bisila, as he held the baby "It will be our secret. His future siblings will not know the difference." At that point Bisila says she will not be able to have more children. He replies that 2 children are enough and asked if she wanted them to be a family. Which means it had to be the son of one of bv the 3 men that raped her.
During their private ceremony on the beach, "we have a they promise to love one another, and to NEVER abandon one another, no matter how many wives he can have." He promised her that no matter what, she would remain in his heart.
I believe that Bisila's were invited because Clarence said when trying to locate Fernando, that her father or uncle were sending money to a woman with 2 sons. Bisila also told Clarence that they would never had made it without his help. Clarence also said that whatever family or who ever was important to her grandfather, father or uncle, that she wanted to make sure they would continue to be taken care of.
I think I may read the book once it is released. Unless it is already available.
I'm a sucker for love stories, especially these days with a climate of hate being so prevalent in our World. I found the cinematography, music score and the acting beautiful and, on point. However, I find the story line nothing more than a colonizer's fetish fantasy. Bisila, and her son Iniko were over sexualized and, their images appear smaller than the rest of the characters on the promo poster. I guess the old saying is true...'until the oppressed get an Historian, the oppressor will ALWAYS be the hero'.Also, I spesk English and, a Bantu language but for the life of me, I can't recognize the words Bisila sings at the waterfall when she first encounters Killian.
ReplyDeleteIAlso speak a bantu language and don't recognise anything either. Oh well.
DeleteMy name is Dhati Majaliwa. I just shared the above post and, am trying to share my identity so it won't come up as unknown. Bare with me please.
ReplyDeleteOKay, i know I'm late to the party but i have one major question. Why didn't Killian send for Bisila later on?? I know that she was unable to go because her children were from Guinea but all those years later he couldn't send for her or return??? I don't get it. Catalina was able to travel to the island and iniko and his brother were able to travel to Spain just fine. Couldn't Catalina at least bring Bisila with her to see Killian one last time? Somebody help me understand please.
ReplyDeleteMy question too.
DeleteWhy Bisila said she cant have children anymore?
ReplyDeletei wondered that too
DeleteI wish there was no nakedness and sex, so younger audience can also experience this powerful message of cruelty of governments controlling lives. I hope these film makers release an edited version to get a wider audience.
ReplyDeleteIt is based on a book and see what the author wrote. And everything is not for everyone. Coupled with the subject and it’s complexities I wouldn’t want this for children or younger audiences. Stop trying to make everything for everyone when there age appropriate stuff out there. What’s appropriate is subjective when it comes to censoring. So how about no.
DeleteIt is very possible that Kilian is the father of Bisila's 2nd son. When Kilian was called away because his sister was dying, he was only gone for a few months. It is possible that the baby was conceived before Kilian left, and a few months before the rape, She might have already known that she was pregnant, before the rape, but did not know if the baby was Mosi's or Kilian's. Then in the year of isolation the baby was born and when she saw he was Mulato, she knew that it was Kilian's. Someone in a comment said that they did not make love before Kiliian left. They were making love all along. Just because it wasn't shown doesn't mean that it didn't happen. I wish the film would have been clear on who the father is. Although it could be one of the rapists, it could have been Kilian's. When Kilian returned after being away for a few months, Bisila might not have been showing yet. Kilian got back the day after the rape, so maybe Basila didn't have a chance to tell him yet, besides not knowing if it was his or Mosi's. Just saying that it is entirely possible for the baby to be Kilian’s.
ReplyDeleteHello there... i am searching a song which is starting from 19:42... plz help i need that song .... help me :(
ReplyDeleteMany wrote their perspective....
ReplyDeleteAfter watching the movie, reading most of the comments, and again watching the movie at places of detail here are thoughts. If you also feel the same please reply to the comment.
1. Julia is still married to doctor and since a family friend she came to attend the funeral.
2. The money is sent from kilians family accounts only, until Kilian is good he used to send money by the time he understood he will get Alzheimer's there can be 2 chances (a) he said his brother to send money instead of him as he getting ill in health wise
(b) if not Kilian set Manuel to send money as Jacob can take advantage of kilians health and stop payments
What ever it is we know money is being sent and Clarence want to know why, Becoz she is only elder in the family leaving kilians daughter younger to her. As elder people show interest and takes responsibility of their house once it gets to their hands. In this case Jacob died, Kilian can't speak and his daughter wasn't unware of all this.
3. Basili was married to Mosi and have a child. By these all time she had feelings for Kilian but no chance to express same with Kilian.
4. After scene of saving and injured man, we see their sparks fire and start making love until he goes home to see his ill sister.
5. While making love every time they say IT WILL BE OUR SECRET, in the sense they were keeping the affair without knowing to villagers and his husband (Mosi). If the situations were like this, why they would plan a child or want a child which eventually leads to problems. Some says Basili is striking the days in a calendar may she was just counting the days of his travel as the workers(Kilian) will get limited days of holiday.
6. After the rape, and with in a month Mosi dies. Basili stays away from Kilian and goes to town asking for one year of leave.
7. One day they meet at Julia's house and she having second kid. Here the conversation is important.
• Again Kilian says IT WILL BE OUR SECRET, there is no one to object their relationship at that time because Mosi is dead and she is single. So it's definitely not Kilians child and he want to keep it a secret, hoping to start a new family and having more children. That's why he also says HIS FUTURE CHILDREN (siblings) can't find the difference.
• Basili when comes to meet she has no idea that Kilian will ask him for starting a family (talking about their future children is nothing but going more further right) so she says I can't have more children. Even after that Kilian says are you really interested to come with me and start a new life, then Basili face is filled with joy which was pale all the time and says YES.
8. We all know what happened at dock, even after saying that they are married and Fernando is they child they won't allow the kids to cross the country saying they are citizens and she can go leaving them.
9. So they just decideds to stay their and lead a happy life, at this point they get married and he heartfully considers them his children. But do to some new laws of Guinea, Kilian has to leave the country without mother and children.
10. Don't know why in future he didn't tried send them tickets and visiting visa for Spain. May be he don't want to make them leave their home. So he just settled in Spain married and father a girl.
11. At the end the boys come to Spain, may be to just visit Kilian, or Clarence helped them to settle their. Afterall Kilian considered them as his children long ago right.
I loved the movie. I fell on love with Mario Casas. I watch all his movies on Netflix. I want to buy the soundtrack, but I can not find it. Furthermore, I do not understand why Killian did not send for Basilla later
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone wonder which white man mama Sade had a baby with
ReplyDeleteI think it was his brother child? They all raped her but Laha was apart of the heirtance, which was not Nillian child. His brother had syllpyis, which she got pregnant but in turn got sterile after having the baby...usa
ReplyDeleteSo I've been waiting for debate this movie with someone who loved it just as much as myself. I've watched this movie about 10 times ...it is the best movie ever. I believed Jacobo wanted Julia but didn't want to give up his player ways...Nevertheless, he learnt his lesson but was a bit too late. Marvelous writing everything was great with this movie honestly .
